Products & Technical Excellence
-
BRC’s long history provides a strong foundation, but R&D is central to our operations. We invest in roll material science development, allowing us to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve our products and services to meet evolving customer needs.
-
BRC employs a portfolio of advanced material grades in its roll and component design. These materials are chosen for their wear resistance, structural stability, and performance under thermal and mechanical stress. Each grade is matched to component role (e.g. work roll, backup roll, sleeve, ring) and mill operating profile to deliver consistent service life across semi-finished, long, and flat product mills.
-
We offer low alloy, high alloy, carbon steel, and other steel casting materials based on customers’ requirements.
-
Yes. We use mould simulation and CAD/CAM to optimise foundry technologies, minimising the risk of defects before production.
-
All Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections are conducted by certified Level III inspectors, ensuring that every step meets the highest technical standards.
Quality control involves multiple layers of checks throughout production. Chemical analysis is performed before and during pouring to ensure alloy composition meets specifications. A full suite of NDT methods—ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiographic, and penetrant testing—is applied to detect porosity, cracks, and inclusions. Dimensional checks, mechanical property testing (tensile and hardness), and compliance with ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, and ISO standards further confirm product reliability.
